Extending Opportunities for the Next Generation of Learners: One Alumnus’s Legacy of Generosity

Chris Fredrick ’63 passed away in January 2018. Nearly two years later, he made it possible for two students to attend Northfield Mount Hermon.

Chris believed his education at Mount Hermon was a “wonderful opportunity,” one he desired to extend to deserving students who would come long after him, so he designated NMH as a beneficiary of his retirement account. By including the school in his estate, Chris funded the education of two students through established scholarships—a true testament to his connection with NMH and his belief in the opportunities an education there can provide—and, in the process, leaving a legacy of generosity.
