One Alumna’s Commitment to Support Students Who Will Live, Learn, and Act with Humanity and Purpose
Carol Ramsey ’70 gives to honor all that she has been given.
“Whenever I read a newspaper article or confront a complex problem, I thank Northfield for giving me the presence of mind to do my own thinking,” she reflects.
This fostering of independent thought was one of the many gifts her NMH education gave Carol. Another important gift from her time at NMH was community. “When I meet classmates on Zoom calls or at reunions, I recall the fun and community we all shared,” she says. To honor these benefits of her education and longstanding connection with NMH, Carol is a proud and consistent contributor to the NMH Annual Fund. Recently, Carol reaffirmed her commitment to supporting NMH by including the school in her estate plan.
“I have chosen to make a gift to the school through my estate because I know it will be worth much more than any one-time cash gift I can make,” she shares. “I also make an annual contribution to the NMH Fund because ready money is essential in the competition for the students NMH serves best: those who will live, learn, and act with humanity and purpose. The world needs more [students like that]."
